Years of stress, anxiety, single parenthood, caring responsibilities, and navigating some of the most difficult periods of my life changed my relationship with my hair.

I experienced scalp problems that persisted for years. Then came thinning, breakage, bald patches, and the frustration of discovering that much of the hair industry seemed focused on selling hair rather than helping women protect the hair they still had.

So I approached the problem the only way I knew how.

I researched.

As someone with five higher education degrees across engineering and science disciplines, including a PhD in engineering research, I have spent years learning how to analyse complex problems, interrogate evidence, and build solutions rather than rely on assumptions.
